JONESVILLE FIRE DISTRICT ANNUAL ELECTION
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Jonesville Fire District will hold its annual election on Tuesday, December 8, 2020. There shall be two election districts: those residing in voter districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 28 and 33 shall cast their ballots at Station #1, 953 Main Street, Jonesville, NY and those residing in voter districts 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 27, 29 and 34 shall cast their ballots at Station #2, 629 Rt. 146A, Clifton Park, NY. The annual election will take place between the hours of 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM for the purpose of:
(1) Electing one commissioner for a FIVE year term, commencing on January 1, 2021 and ending on December 31, 2025.
(2) Voting on the following proposition:
Proposition One
Shall the board of fire commissioners’ proposed amendment of the Jonesville Fire District Length of Service Award Program Point System, which would increase the number of points awarded each year to volunteers who hold the position of Safety Officer for the entire year from 15 points to 20 points per year for years beginning after December 31, 2020, be approved?
All duly registered residents of the Jonesville Fire District who have resided in the district at least thirty days shall be eligible to vote.
