Firefighter of the Year - Honorable Mention
On July 11th 2008 the Jonesville Fire Department Crew responsible for the assistance of the Mother’s Day 2007 home birth were awarded Honorable Mention for Firefighter of the Year. This is an award that is presented annually by the Hudson Mohawk Volunteer Firefighters’ Association, at an award ceremony during their convention. In attendance for the ceremony were, Lt. Ken Graves, Lt. Scott Gunsel, FF Kristen Miller, Lt. Amy Price from the original crew. Not present to accept their award were Lt. Jason Hubbard, FF Jim Miller and FF Dennis Weaver. Jonesville Fire Company Chicken BBQ
JONESVILLE FIRE COMPANY CHICKEN BBQ The Jonesville Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting their 10th Annual Chicken BBQ on Sunday, July 13th from 2 to 6:30 pm at Jonesville Station 1 at 953 Main Street. Tickets will be sold at the door: Adults $9.00, Seniors $8.00 and children under 12 will be $5.00. Dinner includes ½ chicken, macaroni salad, vegetable, coleslaw, dessert and beverage.
